I am blogging about life, because there are so many interesting things that people wonder what to do about, and sometimes they need advice on life.

Valentine's Day...

Valentine's day is soooo overrated! If a guy only treats his girlfriend right on Valentine's Day then he isn't worth keeping at all! People are happy about Valentine's Day because they can go on a date on that special day. You can go on a date any night of the year! Valentine's Day should not be the only day of the year when you have an excuse to go out! But I do like getting the flowers and stuffed animals.

My Favorite SuperBowl Commercial...

My favorite SuperBowl commercial was the Chevy Silverado Apocalpse commercial. It was really funny when they made fun of Ford, even though I like Ford. It was really funny. I liked a lot of them, including the naked M&M.

What I am Thankful For

As it is Thanksgiving time I wanted to post about what I am thankful for.

1. I am very thankful for my family. Especially my parents who give me guidance and support through everything.
2. I am thankful for a nice warm house to sleep in. It is very hard to get up in the mornings, but some kids don't have that luxury.
3. I am thankful for all my friends, though we may fight at times I know they always have my back and me theirs.
4. I am thankful for my cell phone. Even though it is a material thing I don't know how many times I've had to call and get help or ask a question from someone and it's just easier than going to find them.
5. My car. It helps me get to where I need to be, and is probably one of the greatest things invented. It is awesome!
6. I am thankful to be living in the U.S. We are free!
7. I suppose I could be thankful for my siblings...even though they can be really annoying. But, when we go see family there are enough people so I don't have to see them very often. I'm just kidding I love them and nobody else gets to tease or make fun of them, that's my job.

So, I guess I love my family and wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world except here with them.

Why I Write

I write to bring an idea to life. To bring a dream to life and see it as you read it. Writing is a very fun pastime, and it helps your grammar. It also is how I can escape reality. I love to read and the books that I’ve read inspired me to write. When I get an essay assignment for a class I love to make it as fun and interesting as possible. I almost always leave a loophole that could be made into a book, if I finished it! It is hard to come up with an ending because there are so many possibilities. I write to unleash the power of words, they can be so powerful sometimes.
I write to express who I am. If I didn’t write I wouldn’t be able to be the person I am. I wouldn’t be as outgoing, because I wouldn’t have an outlet. I wouldn’t be able to express myself as a person, as a human being. All of these things are reasons why I write.

Well...people are starting to comment on my blog, so to get publicity out about our journalism stuff go to youtube.com and type in youtube.com/user/mrvogts. It is the only video on there. That's our journalism class speaking, it's a poem we put together in our own words. Always remember 9/11!
