I am blogging about life, because there are so many interesting things that people wonder what to do about, and sometimes they need advice on life.

What I am Thankful For

As it is Thanksgiving time I wanted to post about what I am thankful for.

1. I am very thankful for my family. Especially my parents who give me guidance and support through everything.
2. I am thankful for a nice warm house to sleep in. It is very hard to get up in the mornings, but some kids don't have that luxury.
3. I am thankful for all my friends, though we may fight at times I know they always have my back and me theirs.
4. I am thankful for my cell phone. Even though it is a material thing I don't know how many times I've had to call and get help or ask a question from someone and it's just easier than going to find them.
5. My car. It helps me get to where I need to be, and is probably one of the greatest things invented. It is awesome!
6. I am thankful to be living in the U.S. We are free!
7. I suppose I could be thankful for my siblings...even though they can be really annoying. But, when we go see family there are enough people so I don't have to see them very often. I'm just kidding I love them and nobody else gets to tease or make fun of them, that's my job.

So, I guess I love my family and wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world except here with them.

Why I Write

I write to bring an idea to life. To bring a dream to life and see it as you read it. Writing is a very fun pastime, and it helps your grammar. It also is how I can escape reality. I love to read and the books that I’ve read inspired me to write. When I get an essay assignment for a class I love to make it as fun and interesting as possible. I almost always leave a loophole that could be made into a book, if I finished it! It is hard to come up with an ending because there are so many possibilities. I write to unleash the power of words, they can be so powerful sometimes.
I write to express who I am. If I didn’t write I wouldn’t be able to be the person I am. I wouldn’t be as outgoing, because I wouldn’t have an outlet. I wouldn’t be able to express myself as a person, as a human being. All of these things are reasons why I write.

Well...people are starting to comment on my blog, so to get publicity out about our journalism stuff go to youtube.com and type in youtube.com/user/mrvogts. It is the only video on there. That's our journalism class speaking, it's a poem we put together in our own words. Always remember 9/11!

So...yesterday was 9/11. It ws a very interesting day. All the news could talk about was how it happened and what not. Another thing they did ws talk about the memorial. I don't think any of the speeches that peole made there could have summed it up. I believe that President Lincolns Gettysburg Address is the best way to thoink of it. Especially when he says"But in a larger sense,we can not dedicate--we can not consecrate--we can not hallow--this ground. The brave men(and women), living and dead, who struggled here(for life), have consecrated it , far above our poor power to add or detract. The worl will little note, nor long remember what we say hre,but it can never forget what they did here." -Lincoln. Well, we all have remembered long what Lincoln said there, but I think he sums it up really well. He goes on to say that what they started we need to finish. I agree we need to finish the war. I think the speech it almost perfect, but not quit. It's like a song that has the best lyrics for what your feeling, but it has just that one thing that isn't right. Anyways, I feels so bad for all those peoples families. I am praying for them!

9/11

So, this weekend I was watching a special on TLC. It was about 9/11. Very sad. It isn't very often anymore that something you see on TV touches you but this did. I have to thank two people who really touched me when I saw that show. Frank de Martini and Pablo Ortiz. They both worked on the construction floor of the North tower. The 88th floor. Frank and Pablo were 5 floors down from the impact site. They got their whole office out and headed down the stairs, but they didn't follow. They went up instead of down. Frank and Pablo saved over a hundred peoples lives, but couldn't save their own. All that we know is the last time they were seen was on about the 60th floor, after that no one knows. I thank these men for their bravery. Whenever some one dies it changes the world. They could have been the one to invent the cure for cancer. You never know what could have come of that one person. 9/11 was a tragedy for US and its people.

Hopefully practtice will be more fun, not so much conditioning. But, probably not...a person can only hope. Anyways, I'm super bored...bye!!!

Random...

So, here are a bunch of fun facts, because I was bored...
-Hippos milk is pink.
-Men who kiss their wives in the morning live five years longer than those who don't.
-More than 10 people a year are killed by vending machines.
- A microwaved baseball will fly farther than a frozen one.
-It is illegal in New Jersey and Oregon to pump your own gas.
-It's illegal to pawn your dentures in Las Vegas!
-It is illegal to hunt camels in Arizona.
-Walt Disney, the creator of Mickey Mouse, was afraid of mice.
-The original title of Jane Austens novel Pride and Prejudice was First Impressions!
-None of the Beatles knew how to read music.
-If you mouth the word"colorful" to someone it looks like you are saying "I Love You"!
-A portion of the water you drink has already been drunk by someone else.

Fail.

So, I haven't blogged for awhile. I remember when I tried to start a journal and I failed epically on it. I'm not very good at keeping up on stuff like this. I have way too much on my plate right now to write about my life. I have volleyball, school, computers to program, and a kindle to read; so I'm pretty booked right now. Anyways I'm trying to plan my Labor Day weekend around my practices. Luckily, I can drive now so I could drive to my grandpa and grandmas to get away from Ransom.

Second Day of Blogging

Hi, I am really bored in Journalism today!!! Mr. Vogts wants us to write a paper explaining why we want to go to the Kansas State Fair and compete there. I don't want to do that because we have a Yearbook thing in Hutchinson the next day, plus that night is homecoming...probably. So anyways, here I am, blogging away. I have figured out what blogging is for. Its a way to tell everyone whats going on in life, but nobody reads it! But, just in case anyone does decide to read this, it's kinda boring. BTW My Birthday is tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! Sweet sixteen!

Hello

Hi, my name is Maci and I am writing about our Journalism class, and life. I have a puppy at home named Cocoa. My journalism teacher is making us write a blog. Personally I don't understand the point of blogging. Why do you want to know all about someone else's life. Especially if you don't know them. It seems kind of stalker-ish.
